CarCare Terms and Conditions
Acknowledgement
The CarCare Check is provided by AMI Hub Services, part of the IAG Group and its authorised third parties.
I understand and acknowledge that the vehicle identified above will be visually inspected as part of a CarCare Check by AMI Hub Services. I understand that:
· The CarCare Check is a visual, non-invasive inspection only; it does not constitute a full mechanical assessment, certification, or warranty of performance.
· Findings are limited to what was reasonably observable at the time of inspection and may not identify all existing or developing faults or defects.
· Any indication of when the next service may be due is provided as a guideline only and assumes normal driving conditions over the next 12 months.
· I remain responsible for the ongoing maintenance, roadworthiness, and safe operation of the vehicle, and for seeking further diagnostic or mechanical assessment where recommended.
Where the inspection identifies that the vehicle is not roadworthy under current New Zealand transport safety standards, I acknowledge that:
· I may be offered a tow to safety or an on-site rectification; and
· If I choose to take possession of and/or operate the vehicle in its current condition, the vehicle may pose safety risks to myself, passengers, other road users, and property.
I acknowledge that driving an unroadworthy vehicle may breach New Zealand road safety laws and may void insurance coverage. I accept full responsibility for any legal, financial, or other consequences arising from my decision.
I acknowledge that additional charges may apply for towing and any parts that may be required. These additional costs will be my responsibility including all costs relating to the supply of a replacement battery or replacement tyres.
Release and indemnity
AMI, its employees, agents, affiliates, including AMI Hub Services:
· Make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the safety, reliability, or fitness of the vehicle for use on public roads following the CarCare Check; and
· Do not accept liability for any issues, failures, defects, losses, damages, or injuries that arise after the time of inspection or that could not reasonably be identified during the limited scope of the CarCare Check.
I release and hold harmless AMI, its employees, agents, affiliates, including AMI Hub Services from any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, or injuries arising from my possession or operation of the vehicle following the CarCare Check. I agree to indemnify them against any claims or actions brought as a result of my use or possession of the vehicle.
Privacy
You authorise us to share your personal information with the provider(s) of the CarCare Check engaged from time to time for the purposes of providing the AMI Hub Services in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy can be viewed on the AMI website at:
